New ad type: Back Button Redirect

We are delighted to announce the upcoming release of a new ad type - Back Button Redirect. This new ad type will allow you to generate even more revenue at PopAds.net without doing any changes to your website.

How will the Back Button Redirect work:

• It will only activate when a visitor is leaving your website using the browser back button.
• It won't activate when navigating between pages of your website.
• When a visitor clicks on the back button to leave your website, our adcode will redirect the visitor to an advertisement.
• The navigation will not be impacted. The visitor will be able to click the back button again to reach the page visited before your website as well as click the forward button to go to your website.

We believe this addition will open up a previously untapped revenue for our publishers, in certain cases it will work even when the visitor does not click anywhere on your website(unlike our other ad types). This new ad type will respect the same Popunder Per IP limit as well as the Delay setting to minimize the impact on your userbase.

At this moment, the Back Button Redirect is not deployed across our network yet. While we have enabled it for all our publishers, we are giving you until 1st September 2023 to disable it in your website settings in PopAds.net panel in case you wish not to display Back Button Redirect ads on your website.

Additionally, we are happy to inform that we have done a number of improvements in our adcode that resolved some issues (like Delay setting not working in certain cases) as well as improved the way ads are displayed in less popular browsers. This upgrade was done on our side, there is no need for you to regenerate or reinstall the adcode.
